A five by five board, twelve letters, and the classic Scrabble scoring you already know. Drag tiles out of the bank and build words across and down.
Bonus squares multiply a single letter or an entire word, so where you place a tile matters as much as which tile you place.
How to Play Mini Scrabble
Drag a letter from the bank onto any square on the grid, or tap a letter and then tap the square you want it on. Tiles can be moved again once placed, dropped onto another tile to swap the two, or sent back to the bank.
Every run of three or more letters, across or down, has to be a real word. A run of two letters can never be a word, and neither can a tile sitting on its own, so both show up red until you connect them into something longer.
A few squares have two letters printed on them. Those squares only pay out for the letters they name, so putting an A on a square marked AR doubles or triples your score there, while any other letter just scores what it is worth. The letters are picked fresh for every puzzle, so read the board before you commit to a spot.
Each tile is worth the number printed in its corner, using the usual Scrabble values. A letter shared by an across word and a down word counts in both. The stars along the score bar are the targets for the day, and the puzzle is finished once all twelve letters are placed with nothing invalid left on the board.

How do you play Mini Scrabble?

How is the score calculated?
Each letter is worth its standard Scrabble value, shown in the corner of the tile. Some squares have two letters printed on them and only pay out when one of those letters is placed there, doubling or tripling either that letter or the whole word it sits in. The letters on those squares change with every puzzle. A letter that belongs to both an across word and a down word scores in both.
Do the words have to connect to each other?
No. Separate words can sit on different parts of the board. The only rule is that any letters that end up next to each other, across or down, have to spell a real word of at least three letters.
